CERPRO becomes Drevise: AI platform accelerates component approvals for series production
Press release · 07 Oct 2026
Berlin, October 7, 2026 – The Berlin-based AI company CERPRO will operate under the name Drevise going forward. With its new brand identity, the start-up, founded in 2023, is sharpening its positioning: Drevise helps industrial companies translate technical product definitions from drawings, 3D models, specifications and revisions into clear decisions for feasibility, quality planning, supplier alignment and production approval at an early stage. The goal is to bring new or modified products into series production faster and with greater confidence.

From inspection planning to series approval
CERPRO started with QualiSpec in quality assurance. Companies were able to automatically derive inspection plans from technical drawings and inspect components more efficiently. Drevise is now significantly expanding this approach: the platform understands technical requirements from drawings, 3D models, specifications and revisions, identifies ambiguities and risks early, and translates them into concrete decisions for engineering, supplier alignment, production planning, quality planning and approval.
The new name combines Drawing and Revision. It is intended to express that technical drawings and changes are not merely documented but can be used as the basis for faster and more robust manufacturing decisions. The new website also reflects this clearer positioning.
Where series approvals stall
Many delays arise because technical requirements must be translated anew at every step. Engineering defines what is to be manufactured. Supplier quality must derive how requirements will be verified. Production planning translates them into processes, machines and work plans. Quality assurance ultimately checks whether the result meets the specifications. When these steps are not connected by a shared technical foundation, questions, rework and delays emerge precisely where components are supposed to become ready for series production.
Industry studies show the scale of the efficiency loss: engineers spend only around 54 percent of their time on actual design work; in production preparation and manufacturing planning, around a quarter of time is lost searching for, re-entering and reprocessing technical information.
Drevise therefore starts with the technical product definition. The platform checks drawings and 3D models, identifies missing or contradictory information, evaluates feasibility, measurability and risks, and derives recommendations for the next process steps. This creates a shared foundation for internal departments and suppliers, with the aim of approving components for series production faster, more transparently and with greater confidence. Well-known industrial companies such as Bosch Rexroth, Lixil, Innomotics and Hörmann already rely on the solution.

- Customer
- JELBA Werkzeug- und Maschinenbau
- Industries
- Defense, aerospace, semiconductors
- Manufacturing expertise
- Turning, milling, grinding, welding
Initial situation: manual inspection reports as a weak point
Inspection reports were created with a highly manual tool: characteristics had to be transferred one by one from PDF drawings and formatted. For parts with many inspection characteristics, that meant an enormous amount of time, a high error rate and regular customer queries — in aerospace and semiconductors with a direct impact on approvals and the supply chain.
The solution: digital inspection report creation
Integrated into the existing IT within a few days. Dimensions, tolerances and standards are recognized automatically from technical drawings, and complete inspection plans and reports are produced at the touch of a button in each customer’s format. Manual input is gone, the error rate is close to zero, and OEMs and tier-1 suppliers receive complete documentation without queries.
Looking ahead: digitalization as a competitive advantage
Parts now ship in record time, documented inspection reports included. The next step is extending it to series and final inspections.
“We deliver faster, with fewer errors – and so strengthen our customers’ supply chain. For many of them, that is now just as important as the part itself.”
